Prior to setting up Open Capital, Andrej worked for Apax Partners where he was involved in c. $1 billion worth of buy-outs worldwide as part of the Technology and Telecommunications Investment Team. Andrej was also responsible for originating and executing Russian and Eastern European deals with a particular focus on Technology and Telecommunications, Media, Healthcare, Retail & Consumer companies.
Before joining Apax Partners, Andrej worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions team of Morgan Stanley in London.
Andrej holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has also received his MSc in Mathematics with Highest Distinction (a Red Diploma and a Gold Medal) from the Department of Mechanics & Mathematics of the Moscow State University. He is a Lithuanian national and is fluent in Russian, English, Lithuanian and Spanish.
